IXB Identity

Secure access across the IXB pharmacy-benefit suite

IXB Identity brings sign-in, authentication and access administration together across connected IXB applications. It helps organizations connect their existing identity provider, manage user access and maintain a reviewable record of authentication and administrative activity.

Identity works with each application’s permissions to help users reach the information and actions appropriate to their role.

How access works across the suite

One sign-in across connected applications

Move between connected IXB products with a consistent sign-in experience. Single sign-on helps reduce repeated logins while keeping authentication requirements aligned with the organization’s policies.

Additional verification can be required when a configured activity calls for stronger authentication.

Connect your organization’s identity provider

IXB Identity supports enterprise identity connections using OpenID Connect and SAML, including Microsoft Entra ID. This allows organizations to connect their existing sign-in process to IXB applications.

Connection setup, group mapping and validation are coordinated for each deployment.

Stronger authentication where it matters

Multi-factor authentication adds verification beyond a password. IXB supports authentication methods such as authenticator apps and passkeys, with requirements configured for the organization and supported workflows.

Configured sensitive activities can require the user to verify their identity again before proceeding.

Access appropriate to each role

IXB Identity associates users with their organization and governed access groups. Connected applications use that information with their own permissions to control the records, screens and actions available to each user.

Authorized administrators can manage accounts, group membership and authentication settings as responsibilities change.

Controlled connections between IXB applications

IXB Identity authenticates registered services used by the PBM suite, including approved MCP integrations that connect AI-assisted workflows to application capabilities.

Service access is configured for defined systems and permissions. Each connected application continues to enforce its own access controls and business rules.

Review authentication and access administration

Authentication and administrative activity is recorded for authorized review. These records help teams investigate sign-in issues, review access changes and understand how accounts are managed.

Identity records work alongside application audit records to support oversight across the suite.

A shared foundation across the suite

Identity supports access to connected IXB applications across pharmacy operations, clinical workflows, financial operations, reporting and customer support.

Each product retains responsibility for its own permissions and business decisions. Identity provides the common sign-in and authentication foundation that supports those controls.
